MicroElectronics Chemical Sales Rep
My client crafts customized chemical supply chain solutions for customers in the microelectronics and biopharmaceuticals markets. Working closely with its customers, it sources the appropriate high purity chemicals for their processes, manages these chemicals in inventory and then distributes them as they are needed.
The company has grown rapidly over the past 20 years yet still operates with an entrepreneurial mindset. Sales specialists have been and will continue to be an integral part of our success. In addition to sales and account management, our specialists are a source of customer insights and feedback to grow our business.
Because of our success to date, my client has decided to hire an additional microelectronics outside Chemical Sales Specialist based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The Chemical Sales Specialist will be responsible for sales and developing new business for the microelectronic product lines and/or services throughout the southeast. You would call primarily on manufacturers and laboratories in the microelectronics industry offering process materials, laboratory chemicals, and associated chemical management services.
My client prides itself on customizing expert solutions for our customer’s high purity chemical requirements. Meeting customer requirements is critical to ensuring that our customers’ projects are completed on-time and on-budget. Therefore, the ideal person in this role will: • Enjoy creative problem solving • Have a keenness for details • Be service-minded and customer centric • Work well both independently and with client teams • Enjoy strategic, consultative selling
In addition, the ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the microelectronics industry or chemical industry and of chemistry to be able to serve as a resource for our clients and effectively present information to engineers, managers and purchasing agents / managers.
Key duties • Manage existing accounts in the microelectronics chemical portfolio • Develop new business • Build customer relationships that enhance our position and profitability at accounts • Work with existing manufacturer sales representatives • Meet quarterly and annual sales quotas • Identify business opportunities in new markets consistent with microelectronic product applications • Help identify new products, services, and vendors to expand product portfolio
Qualifications:
Requirements • Fluency in technology and chemistry (specific knowledge of semiconductor is beneficial) • Presentation skills to convey technical information to small and large groups. • Business development, sales and closing experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Willingness to learn and grow • Willingness to travel overnight 1-2 trips per month to visit customers and supplier facilities
