The impact of Point-of-Purchase marketing is proven. Its ability to stimulate interest, to educate and to motivate – at the precise moment the consumer decides to buy – gives it extraordinary power. My client is a point-of-purchase specialist. They create permanent displays and fixtures for retailers and brand owners. In addition to their line of stock displays, they work in close collaboration with clients to create custom applications including freestanding, in-line, countertop, and category programs.
SUMMARY: Position is responsible for successfully providing solutions to accounts via an understanding of customers business, markets, challenges and opportunities. Ensure needed action in maintaining account activities, responding to all of our customer needs and coordinating with others to service the account, as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Identifying and maintaining knowledge of key contacts within the account and establishing multi-level relationships with key personnel in the account via continuous face-to-face contact. 2.Develops and qualifies customer requirements. 3.Meet Growth & Sales Plan Objectives. 4.Maintains appropriate account records as required by sales management, and submits required reports regarding conditions and progress achieved in the account. 5.Takes part in trade shows/associations where such attendance can result in further penetration in the market by the company. 6.Maintains an awareness of all competitive activities including product performance, pricing, availability and related information. 7.Recommends the establishment of competitive pricing as necessary in order to secure orders at an acceptable profit margin. 8.Maintains an effective working relationship with fellow employees. 9.Organizes and maintains all files, reports and other paperwork for the position. May provide assistance to other personnel as needed. 10.Performs essential job duties and responsibilities at the office and travels as required based on business and customer needs. Complies with conduct rules, attendance, etc. 11.Collaborates with management in developing accurate sales forecasts and goals for assigned accounts.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: BS degree in Marketing, Business or similar major and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of Account Management experience. Experience in merchandising, POP sales, material handling, supply chain logistics, purchasing, marketing.
Skills: •Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills •Excellent organizational skill •PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. •Self-starter, a high degree of self motivation and initiative •Positive and professional image and ability to work with all levels of employees and management •High energy level •Strong analytical and problem solving skills •Ability to work under periodic pressure with self-control to meet multiple commitments, schedules and deadlines. •Ability to work independently •Ability to follow through on commitments •Ability to Travel
